The wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is taking place at 1200 PM on 19th May 2018 at  St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in England. The bride, Meghan Markle, is an American actress. Prince Harry first met her in July 2016 when a friend introduced them in London. They immediately found they had a lot to talk about and agreed to meet again the very next day. Not long after this Meghan accompanied Harry on his trip to Botswana and they got to know each other very well while camping for 5 days.  Finally, Harry proposed to Meghan at his cottage home in the grounds of Kensington Palace. She was surprised but accepted straight away! The engagement ring is made of yellow gold (Meghan's favourite) with a central diamond from the country of Botswana, and also smaller stones which are from jewellery worn by Prince Harry's mother, Princess Diana. The couple are very proud that the ring was designed by Harry.

There is a rumour that Meghan is going to be the first royal bride to make a speech at her own wedding. As an actress and a supporter of disadvantaged groups, Meghan is already used to public speaking.  In Britain, it is tradition for the bridegroom, the best man and the father of the bride to make a formal speech at a wedding. However, recently more brides have chosen to add their own speech and it seems Meghan wants to continue this trend. This is causing a lot of excitement!

On the day of the wedding there is going to be a carriage procession through Windsor after the ceremony as well as two receptions. The horse and carriage ride will allow many spectators to see the newly-married couple as they pass by, either in person or on television. The first reception, for all the guests at the ceremony, will take place in nearby St. George's Hall. Later there will be a second reception for close family and friends given by Harry's father, Prince Charles.

Meghan Markle is very much looking forward to working with Harry to improve the lives of those they wish to help. In the meantime, it seems that the Queen's Corgi dogs are already showing Meghan their approval by laying quietly on her feet under the table at tea!
