The first conditional is used to express a possible condition and a probable result in the future.
It is form by If + present simple, + will + infinitive without to.

  • If we go by bus, it will be cheaper.
  • If it rains, I'll stay at home.


If can be at the beginning of the sentence or in the middle. If it comes at the beginning, we put a comma at the end of the clause, if it comes at the end, we do not use a comma.

  • It will be cheaper if we go by bus.
  • I'll stay at home if it rains.
